PARI [ PEOPLE AGAINST RAPES IN INDIA ] is a NATIONAL MOVEMENT against sexual violence on WOMEN & CHILDREN. Here Celebrities, Youth Cadres, eminent Lawyers, Human Rights activists unite to support the Rape Survivor. Age old Social Mores, lethargic justice, insensitive Policing and indifferent administrative responses Gag the victim into silence. To the silenced voice PARI reaches out. To those stigmatised and singled out, PARI takes up the long fight to restore work, livelihood and their place in the community.  

PARI believes "BLAMING THE VICTIM" Traps RAPE Survivors. Rape survivors cannot speak of their ordeal in the present Societal background. Work of PARI helps Women find their dignity so that the incident of abuse, battery and rape does Not define their life.

          and State Governments. 
[4]     Exterting pressure on Govts, helping     
        Victims throuh the India Wide     
        VOLUNTEER BASE on SOCIAL MEDIA.  
[5]    Trainings and Senitization Programs in   
          States, Small towns and Villages. 
[6]    Raising Community Awareness through 
        Education/Training Programs and 
        partnerships with Local Stakeholders. 
[7]    Special focus on Youth where rampant 
        physical and phychological, emotional     
        abuse exists. 

PARI’s Violence Aginst Women activists believe, we need to make safer spaces for women in the country and platforms to be heard at every communnity regardless of social setting and economic class. One in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18. PARI seeks support both from with INDIVIDUAL and FRIENDLY INSTITUTIONS for its FLAGSHIP PROJECTS. SUPPORT THE "WE-MEN”" PROJECT TO SENSITIZE MEN IN COMMUNITIES. 

This is A Training Based Project in which a Group of 10-15 Adult Men from a Neighbourhood are GENDER SENSITIZED. These Trainings cover: 

(1)     Safety of Girls in Community and 
         Workplaces.
(2)     Violence against Women in 
          Relationships & Work place.   
(3)     Safety of Girls in Homes and         
        Communities.
(4)     Spreading awareness on Safety 
        Measures through a Friends and     
        Relatives. 

YOUR SUPPORT WILL PAY LOCAL TRAINERS AND HONORARIUMS TO COMMUNITY WORKERS.    

SUPPORT WOMEN's LIVELIHOOD PROJECT  "UTTHAN". 

Is a Livelihood’s Program for Widows, Single Women and the Financially Distressed. This is a Skills Development project. A Nation wide “ ALL-WOMEN CAR CLEANING SERVICES” was launched in New Delhi. Additionally under this SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, where we were able to place more than 1000 women from the Economically Weaker Sections as Cab drivers, Housekeeping Staff and Car Cleaners. YOUR SUPPORT GOES DIRECTLY INTO TRAINING WOMEN AS CAB DRIVERS, and HOUSEKEEPING STAFF WHO CAN FIND JOBS IN HOTEL AND “ AIR B&B “ ESTABLISHMENTS across the country.    

PETITION WORK, LAW & ADVOCACY

PARI regularly files Public Interest Litigations, Fights cases for Women who cannot afford to fight for justice. PARI also files Petitions to the State Governments and the Indian Parliament. This campaign enlists various Lawyers and Social Experts on Women's Law, individual cases and Lobbying work with Police, Local Politicians and Governments heads. Recently, Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla, joined several Members of Parliament, for their support to the oppressed Women’s cause. YOUR SUPPORT WILL DIRECTLY FUND INDIVIDUAL COURT CASES & PAY LOCAL CAMPAIGNERS WHO WALK DOOR TO DOOR IN COMMUNITIES.
